One year ago Rob slipped a disc, and it left him totally immobile...
At the start of this year he told me he wanted to train for a Hyrox, I was up for the idea but I knew this was going to be the hardest thing he had ever done, he didn't know this yet.
The slipped disc had left Rob with severe sciatica in both legs. Through very specific training, we were able to re-stabilise his back again, and his training was able to thrive.

"After years of on and off crippling pain, my back eventually decided to give up the ghost, eventually making it back to the gym last September.
Charlie set out a very specific training programme to strengthen my back, my core and build back strength and mobility.
So much was the success of the programme that, as a ridiculous New Year’s resolution, I decided to do a HYROX competition. Charlie set about on a new programme to get me ready, and offered to join me on my journey to exhaustion and beyond.
Charlie made the training so much fun, supporting me through periods of regret, lack of motivation and over excitement.
At the end of March 2024, a year after being laid up for over a month, Charlie and I completed HYROX, beating our target time.
I can’t thank Charlie enough for his support, care, endless positivity, and expertise to get me, at 47, to the fittest I’ve ever been.
Next HYROX (hopefully with my favourite training partner) is on the horizon."

What a 12 week transformation from my man James here!
He went ALL in with his training, in the gym 5 or 6 times per week. We was unbelievably inspiring, staying consistent with his programming inside the gym & through systems outside the gym.
This man has totally changed his lifestyle - no drinking, healthy eating combined with a love for the gym, progressing his training to 5x a week shortly after starting, when he felt and saw the impacts it was having!
Stay tuned for more results from him, now we begin the hypertrophy phase, consistency is key.

"I’ve been working with Charlie since early 2024 and can highly recommend Charlie. He provided me with the knowledge and motivated me in making progress towards my goals. Just after a few weeks I started seeing results. My fitness level is probably the best it has ever been. I have lost over 14kg in weight while gaining a more defined body and muscle mass. "I met Charlie in February 2023 and went on a journey that saw me lose 12kg and be in the best shape I’ve been in years.
I discovered strength I never realised I had, cardio capabilities that I never thought I could achieve and very importantly had fun at the same time. Not everyone has the ability to put people at ease, be genuinely interested in them as people and work with them as well. Charlie effortlessly combined the three with me, pushing me harder and to levels that I think took us both by surprise!!
All sessions we had (nearly all, bearing in mind we did a lot of 7am sessions and Monday mornings could be painful!) were a laugh. Hard work, him testing my limits (all the time) but having fun all the time. It's the environment that encouraged me to train harder both with him and when I went to my local gym on my own. As I write this nearly 18 months later I’m in tip top shape and it’s rubbed off on my son who goes to the gym with his mates after school. Not a lot more you can ask for really."

"Working with Charlie has changed my life. The obvious changes are to my body having lost 15kg in 7 months. Having struggled with maintaining a healthy weight and after yo-yo dieting for over 30 years, I initially questioned what would be different this time.
With a special holiday approaching I decided I had nothing to lose other than seeing if having a PT and working with Charlie would be different - and it was. Having never exercised before, Charlie allowed me to build up my confidence slowly over months gradually increasing from one PT session a week to adding steps through walking.
Eventually I built up to additional classes and for the first time ever with Charlie’s encouragement I tried jogging - something I was certain I would never be able to do. He helped me start to visualise myself as someone who was a jogger and who did exercise. After a few months, my body began to crave the need to move and want the types of foods that would fuel my body for a workout.
Charlie has been there to support me throughout our journey together - being understanding when I’m finding something tough and also encouraging me to take the next step when he knew I was ready for.
Sessions with Charlie are always fun and I look forward to feeling that I am safe in his hands during my workout and that Charlie has planned my session with my goals in mind.
He has encouraged me to take a more holistic approach to my lifestyle such as better sleep, nasal breathing and reducing my screen time. Aside from the obvious physical change, one of the biggest changes has been in my mental health. Charlie has helped me experience how much exercise impacts your mind. I now can’t imagine ever not exercising regularly for its benefits not only to my health, but to my mind as well.
I have Charlie to thank for enjoying my special holiday and feeling physically fit and healthy and able to match the energy levels of my children - and for making me feel more confident and comfortable in my body. I am looking forward to where my fitness journey with Charlie takes me next. 7 months ago, Charlie told me this would be the best decision I ever made and that I wouldn’t regret it - and he was right!"

"I have been training with Charlie since December 2022, initially for a 12 week transformation but I have continued to train with Charlie weekly since then. My new found love of the gym is in part due to Charlie. He's fun to train with and he sets me programs that I don’t get bored with. I am now stronger, fitter, healthier and happier, and have new goals to train for a hybrid fitness race.
Other trainers comments on my good form is due to Charlie’s attention to detail ensuring I get things right. I also like how he will still check things with other trainers in the gym too, such as recently when I’ve been dealing with an injury.
Always wanting to deepen his knowledge and advance, he often tells me about books and courses he uses for his own development.
Charlie was instinctive with his training with me, he knew he could push me and that I am not someone who gives or is put off when told to keep going. He also recognises my off days and adapts accordingly.

"My partner and I have been working with Charlie for 9 months. We both realised we needed to lose some weight and gain some definition which Charlie understood and designed individual fitness programmes to suit our slightly different needs. He has made sure we are working close to our limits, taking care with the odd stress and strain and understanding how our bodies work.
He has motivated us by varying our programmes as we have gained fitness and cajoled us into performing at levels we didn't think we could at the start of our journey.
